I sit with friends
During those boring mornings;
Laughing and talking, right until the end
Of the ringing of my first warning

I waltzed down the halls
Not a care in the world!
Only to hear the shrill calls
Of the 8:05 bell unfurl.

I rush at my locker
Shoving and pulling
Then I sprint like in soccer
Down the halls-Oh who am I fooling?

Day in and day out,
The bell yells at me so.
And right back at it I shout:
"Shut up! I know!"

I sit here in the office
Of the great dean of students.
I'm being stand-offish
As she asks "Why'd you do it?"

Well you see Mrs. Kaiser
It's quite a funny story.
I may be an early riser,
But I hate bells with a fury.
I always seem to just BARELY make it to homeroom on time, and the halls of my school can usually be heard with my voice shouting "I'M NOT LATE, I'M JUST NOT ON TIME! STOP RINGING AT ME!"

I'm a strange child. :D
