I was honestly ecstatic when I was able to take a picture of these two. I was literally searching the convention for the perfect Amu(Because seriously, Shugo Chara is an underappreciated manga), saw her, and then she asked me if I wanted to take a picture of her with her friend who was Ikuto.
Needless to say, I told them I loved them.
The first(well not the first first...Just the first uploaded) in a series of pictures about my journey through Otakon. Only the best and most rare shall be brought from my camera to your computer screen!

im gonna be Ikuto for Otakon this year :3 and i didnt know there were other people that would cosplay for shugo chara X3 hopefully i see others

Don't worry, you'll see me! I'll be the girl in the Dia cosplay. And no, not Amulet Dia, but just Dia. Because I can't sew and I didn't feel like buying a pink wig. And I shall probably take a picture of you as Ikuto!

I remember at otakon '08, I saw an AMAZING ikuto cosplayer, but he was walking in the opposite direction, and a huge crowd was there Dx
And I never saw him again ;-;

But I'm happy that finally shugo chara is getting the recognition that it deserves :D

..That is strangely like a Shugo Chara Doki episode that I seem to remember reading about because I don't watch the anime. But I actually only got him because I asked his friend cosplaying Amu if I could take a picture of her, and she asked if I wanted to take a picture of her with her Ikuto friend. Which of course I said yes to.

Actually, it's not really. Naruto and Bleach are still the predominant and there are still no plushies to be sold at Otakon. But there were at least two Amu's, two groups of Amu Chara Nari's, and one Ikuto. So it's slowly but surely beginning to grow. And next year I'm hoping to cosplay Ran(Group cosplay, was a friend's idea), so I shall help spread it even more. HUZZAH!!
